A transcript of records without academic validity or an information sheet is required for students applying for conditional admission, i.e., those who have not yet completed their undergraduate studies. If you complete your studies during the pre-registration process, you must provide an official academic transcript.
- Curriculum vitae . A brief description of your experience and training related to the Master’s program, or a standardized curriculum vitae if required. 4. Can I enroll in a master’s program if I haven’t yet completed my undergraduate studies?
Royal Decree 822/2021, of September 28, allows access to university master’s degree programs for students who have not completed their undergraduate studies. The following information pertains to this conditional admission :
- This option is available to undergraduate students from a Spanish university or one belonging to the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) who have yet to complete their final degree project (TFG) and up to a maximum of 9 ECTS credits.
- Students with a university degree will have priority in enrollment.
- You will not be able to obtain the Master’s degree if you have not previously obtained the Bachelor’s degree.
- Students from outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) will not be eligible for conditional enrollment.
- Students applying for admission to the Master’s Degree in Law and Solicitor will not be eligible, as regulated by the Ministerial Order that convenes the professional aptitude assessment test for the practice of the profession of Lawyer/and Solicitor.
5. In what order are places assigned if I am admitted conditionally?
In the final results, priority for admission will be given to students with a university degree . Once the scoring system has been applied with the specific criteria for each master’s program, applications from graduates will be prioritized and ranked in descending order from highest to lowest score, followed by applications from non-graduate students in the same descending order. In the latter case, preference will be given to those with the fewest credits remaining to complete their undergraduate studies, until all available places in the master’s program are filled.
In the case of conditional admission, in the section “Degree that grants access to the master’s program” you should not provide anything, and in the section “Official academic certificate of grades” you must provide an extract of your academic record without academic validity.
IMPORTANT: If you obtain a degree during the pre-registration process or correction period, it is mandatory to present the official academic certificate.
6. Can I pre-register if I have not completed my undergraduate studies?
You can access through conditional admission as long as you have a maximum of 9 credits remaining, in addition to the final degree project.
When you pre-register, you must indicate the credits you currently need to complete. During the correction period, you can modify the information you provided during pre-registration. At this point, you cannot have more than 9 credits remaining to complete your Bachelor’s degree.
7. If I am admitted and subsequently enroll conditionally, when do I have to provide my degree certificate?
You can provide proof of your undergraduate degree at any time before applying for the Master’s degree. However, you cannot obtain the Master’s degree without first obtaining your undergraduate degree.
Upon completion of your Bachelor’s degree, you must submit the following to the Campus Management Center corresponding to your Master’s program: proof of degree deposit and the official academic transcript. Except for UMH, where simply sending an email indicating your completion is sufficient.
8. Which master’s programs do not have conditional admission?
- The Master’s Degree in Law and Legal Representation.
