Procedure for requesting recognition of credits for non-university higher education studies

Recognition is understood as the acceptance by a university of credits which, having been obtained in official studies, in the same or another university, are counted in other different studies for the purpose of obtaining an official degree. Likewise, credits completed in other official higher education programs or university studies leading to other degrees, as referred to in Article 7 of Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System, may also be subject to recognition.

When and how to process the application for credit recognition?

  • Deadline: The application will be accepted from the day after the completion of your enrollment until September 15, 2026.
  • How: The application is submitted electronically. The application is located in your authenticated student access and is called “Application and consultation for recognition of credits for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees” (Solicitud y consulta de reconocimiento de créditos en estudios de Grado y Máster Universitario); then you must access “Accreditation of Non-University Higher Education for Bachelor’s Degree” (Acreditación de Estudios Superiores no Universitarios para los Estudios de Grado).

What documentation must I provide?

  • Degree/Diploma of the Non-University Higher Education Study.
  • Personal academic certificate, must be stamped by the center or have a secure verification code (CSV).

What should I do once I have submitted the online application?

Once you have completed the application, you do not need to submit the original degree or the original personal academic certificate. This documentation may be requested for verification at the corresponding Campus Management Center once your application has been processed. 

What price must be paid if the recognition of credits is favorable?

The fee is the 25% of the credit price established by the Decree of the Consell , which regulates the public prices for university academic and complentary services.

Is it necessary to enroll in the subjects for which I am requesting recognition?

It is not necessary to enroll in the subjects you have submitted for credit recognition. If the resolution is favorable, they will be automatically added to your academic record (de oficio).

Can I add subjects to my enrollment if my credits are recognized?

There are two periods available for enrollment expansion:

  • From the day after the submission of the recognition request until September 21, 2026. This must be done online through your authenticated student access. If you cannot modify your enrollment throuht the aplication, you have to send an email to
  • From January 7 to 14, 2027. This must be done online through your authenticated student access.

Which credits are eligible for recognition?
