1 June 2026
Check the contents for the Chemistry leveling course taught at the Elche campus.
Units:
1. Formulation and nomenclature: distinguishing the different types of compounds and understanding the oxidation states of each element.
2. Periodic table: understanding the chemical elements and their symbols.
3. Stoichiometry: balancing reactions, mole-to-mole reactions, limiting reactant, yield, etc.
4. Concentration measurements. Solutions and dilutions.
5. Acid-base reactions: the concept of acid/base, differentiating between an acid, a base, and a salt, and knowing how to decompose any compound into its ions.
6. Electron transfer reactions: balancing redox reactions in aqueous solution.
