What are Leveling Courses?

The Leveling Courses offered by Miguel Hernández University are seminars that provide new incoming students with the opportunity to learn (or review) the most relevant aspects of the official curriculum for 2nd-year of High School (Bachillerato) subjects that are fundamental for the adecuate academic progress in the core subjects of their degree program. Therefore, the Leveling Courses are not designed as advanced classes, but rather aim to standardize students’ prior knowledge, especially for those who did not take the subject in the academic year immediately preceding their university admission.

Who are they aimed at?

This program is aimed at students coming from the second year of Bachillerato (pre-university studies) or Higher Level Vocational Training Cycles who, due to their chosen academic path, have not taken one or more of the specialized subjects that are relevant for adequate academic performance in the first year of their chosen degree program, or who, having taken these subjects, wish to consolidate their knowledge. These courses are also considered beneficial for students entering university through the University Entrance Examinations for those over 25, 40, and 45 years of age.

What leveling courses do you offer?

• Leveling courses that were offered in the first semester of the 2025/2026 academic year.
• Leveling courses offered in the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at the Elche Campus.

How do I register?

Course registration will take place from February 5th to February 20th, 2026. 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR FORMALIZING ENROLLMENT:

• By accessing the following link , the screen of the Pre-registration Form for UMH’s Own Studies and Continuing Education will appear, which must be completed.
• Select in Sort of education: Leveling Courses.
• Select in Course: The course you wish to enroll in, taking into account the subject and the campus.
• You will need to submit a separate application for each subject. 

IMPORTANT: Once you make the course payment, your registration will be finalized. You do not need to provide proof of payment to the university.

What is the cost of the courses?

The cost of registration for each of the Leveling Courses offered will be €20.
