Loss, destruction or deterioration.

The loss, destruction or deterioration, not attributable to the University, of an official degree may give rise to the issuance of a duplicate, at the request of the interested party.

In the event of loss of the title, it will be a prior and indispensable requirement to publish the announcement of the loss in the Official State Gazette, in order to facilitate, where appropriate, the appropriate claims, in accordance with article 9.2 of the Order of July 8, 1988 (BOE no. 167 of 13.07.1988).

Other Causes.

Any alteration resulting from possible modifications that affect the content of a title (change of name or nationality of its holder, incorporation of Extraordinary Awards, etc…) and that must be reflected in the text of the same, will require the cancellation of the original title and the issuance of a duplicate.

Procedure for requesting the issuance of a duplicate of an official degree.

• Start.
  • The procedure will begin by sending an email to , indicating the reason for the duplicate request and all personal data (ID, name and surnames, contact telephone number, qualification or qualifications affected…)
• Processing.
  • Once the application has been received and the data verified, the corresponding receipt will be forwarded, if applicable, for payment.
  • The amount of the fee for issuing the duplicate will be borne by the interested party when the cause that originated the modification of the text is attributable to him.
  • The process for issuing the corresponding duplicate will then begin.
• Withdrawal of the duplicate.
  • It will be an essential requirement to return the previous title where applicable in order to collect the duplicate.
