PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING RECOGNITION OF CREDITS FOR UNIVERSITY OR ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

The electives credits established in the curriculum of the UMH Bachelor’s degrees can be obtained by demonstrating the following:
Activities or other teachings
When and how to process the application for credit recognition?
- Documentation: certificate from the UMH body responsible for the activity.
- Deadline: At anytime.
- How to submit the application: From your authenticated student access you must access “Application and consultation for recognition of credits for Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees” (Solicitud y consulta de reconocimiento de créditos en estudios de Grado y Máster Universitario) and then select the application “Accreditation of University and Academic Activities” (Acreditación de actividades universitarias y académicas).

What is the maximum number of credits that can be recognized?
- The maximum number of credits you can incorporate for completing any of the following activities is 6 ECTS: “Solidarity and Cooperation”, “Cultural”, “Sports”, “Student Representation” and “Other academic activities (Conferences, Congresses, Workshops, Exhibitions, University Extension)” (Per type of activity and/or as a whole).
- The maximum number of credits you can incorporate for completing “Internships in companies or institutions” is the total number of elective credits in the curriculum.
- The maximum number of credits you can incorporate for completing “Continuing Education Courses” is the total number of elective credits in the curriculum.
- The activities submitted must take place during the academic years in which the undergraduate degree is being pursued. They must be organized and accredited by UMH bodies and have been included in the catalog of activities eligible for recognition, with prior authorization from the Vice-Rector for Studies.
How can I incorporate the recognized credits for university or academic activities into my academic record?
- You must go to “Electronic Office (Sede Electrónica) – My Procedures (Mis trámites) – My Notifications (Mis notificaciones)” and click “Details (Detalles)”, then select “I give my consent (Doy mi consentimiento)” and “Access (Acceder)”. This will allow you to download the notification.
- After completing this mandatory step, you must access the same credit recognition application and click “Consult (Consultar)”.
- You will need to indicate how many of the credits you have been awarded you want to be added to your academic record. Finally, click the “Incorporate (Incorporar)” button.
- In the “Academic Record Status (Estado del Expediente)” section you can consult a summary of the credits recognized and incorporated into your record.
What price must be paid if the recognition of credits is favorable?
The fee is 25% of the credit price established by the Decree of the Consell , which regulates the public prices for university academic and complentary services.
